So Eventually Nokia X got the official announcement along with the
Nokia X+ and XL. We already know everything about the device thanks to the
numerous leaks which left nothing to imagination. These three devices are the
first Android-apps running smartphones produced by Nokia and come with
Microsoft and Nokia apps Pre-loaded.
Nokia X and X+ has a 4" IPS LCD display and has a resolution
of 400 x 800 pixels which makes a pixel density of 233ppi. Both the devices are
powered by a 1GHz Dual-core processor and Snapdragon 8225 chipset. Nokia X has RAM
storage of 512MB while Nokia X+ has 768MB of RAM. There is also 4GB of in-built
storage in both devices which is expandable (via Micro SD cards). Nokia X and
X+ have a 3MP fixed focus rear camera and a 1,500 mAh battery which can give a
standby time of 17 days and Music playback of 26 hours.
Talking about the third member of the family Nokia XL has a bigger
5" IPS LCD display. The device is made up of plastic and has the same 1Ghz
Dual-core processor and Snapdragon S4 chipset. There is a 768MB of RAM and 4GB
of internal storage along with a Micro SD card slot. There is a 5MP snapper at
the back of Nokia XL with LED flash and a 2MP front facing camera. These
devices won't work with google services and there is no Play store but Android
apps can be installed through Nokia store and Yandex store. These devices have
the same Metro tile Windows 8 UI and you can customize the size of the tile
too. Nokia is also giving away 1 month of free Skype Premium with each of three
devices and 10GB of free Onedrive cloud service online storage. Nokia X will cost only €89 and
X+ has a price of €99 but Nokia XL will cost only €109 and
will be available in Q2.
