After all the rumors and requests Whatsapp has finally decided to add the calling feature to the app. The messaging app which is being used by billions of people all across the Globe will be launching the new update anytime soon now.

Not everyone has this new feature for now as Whatsapp's calling feature is still in its testing phase so you have to wait a bit to have the feature but at least you all know that the feature is coming for sure. Only few people have this new feature. The interface remains very simple it just adds a recent calls tab and a contacts tab to the app rest of the interface is same. The calling feature will help you call your friends individually. Whatsapp hasn't launched the feature officially but they are very close.

Android 4.3 update which was announced by Sony a while ago is finally rolling out. The update is officially rolling out to Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR and Xperia tablet Z.

Finally Rovio has released Angry birds go. The publisher released the game for iOS, Android and also for Windows phone. The game is now available all across the globe. Like the previous version this installment is also available for free.

Windows phone 8 is getting some attention now that's really appreciable and shows the success of the platform. Anyways Angry birds Go is a fun game, I really enjoyed playing it. In this installment you race with the pigs on a go-kart rather than killing them. So this is the first 3D Angry birds game and brings some incredible graphics to the series. Assassin's Creed Pirates is developed by the popular publisher Ubisoft. The game is already available for iOS and Android. It is expected that it will also hit Windows phone 8 later. The game is totally based on a ship as the name pirates suggest.

The Director of Engineering for Android told in an interview that the update brings notable changes to the camera of the LG Nexus 5. He said that now the camera will not rely heavily on the OIS instead it will offer fast shutter speeds. The Nexus 5 will produce less blurry pictures and the exposure and white balance will also be improved.

Moreover the update also improves the camera app. Now the app will load quicker than before. So the update is definitely a great one for the camera of the Nexus 5. Here are some samples.

Good news concerning Android users particularly Motorola users. Motorola has announced its plans for upgrading its devices to KitKat 4.4. A list appeared on the Motorola's official site showing the devices which will get the latest Android iteration.

Motorola Moto X and it's Developer's edition will get the update everywhere. In fact the update for Verizon's Moto X has already started to rollout. Rest of the list includes Verizon's Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx, Droid Mini, Droid Razr HD, Droid Razr M and Droid Razr Maxx HD. So the news is quite awesome for the Verizon users as most of their devices will get the KitKat 4.4 treatment. Moreover the update will also hit AT&T's Atrix HD and US Cellular's Electrify M. It seems like the latest version is quite compatible with most of the Android devices, so things are looking great for the software.

Good news concerning Samsung I9505 Galaxy S4 users. The Android 4.3 update is now rolling out internationally. Germany will get the update first and then others countries will follow the update. The update is only for the LTE enabled variants and is available OTA in Germany. The new update brings most of the changes to the TouchWiz launcher.

The changes also include the OpenGL 3.0 support, ANT+ support, TRIM support and also bring support for the recently launched Galaxy Gear watch. The new firmware update gives sharpness to the display and smoothness to the performance of the device. Android 4.3 also brings the new keyboard, new browser and new camera firmware. So the changes are quite noticeable.

As I already mentioned the update is only for the LTE-enabled version of the S4. According to Samsung the I9500 will also receive the update next week. Samsung Galaxy S3 users will get the Android 4.3 treatment next month and the Samsung Galaxy Note II users can expect the update in December.

The upcoming Android 4.4 photos leak yet another time. These snapshots are taken from the highly anticipated LG Nexus 5 device. These snapshots give us a glimpse of the settings menu of Android Kitkat 4.4. Unsurprisingly these snapshots are leaked along with the LG Nexus 5 in the live images, so Google is looking to announce both the things together and according to the recent leaks Google will allegedly announce the next iteration of Android and LG Nexus 5 on the 15th of October.

So as the launch date is inching closer things are catching fire. These leaked images show some of the new features of Android KitKat which include device sensors mode, battery saving, Tap and Pay option and new location settings menu along with high accuracy. These also shows the UI of the software and this time around the app drawer is transparent as well as the status bar. The icons are bigger this time and you can access the camera just with a gesture. Moreover the Android 4.4 will offer a couple of new wallpapers and significantly improved performance.

Google has announced the next iteration of the Android platform. The next version will be called Android 4.4 KitKat, the new version is named after Nestle's candy bar. We all thought that the next version would be Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie, but all the news just turned out to be nothing.


Google's head Sundar pichai confirmed that the upcoming next Android version would provide a great software experience to everybody. The statement suggests that the new version would also be available on smartwatches and gaming consoles. He also added in his Google+ post that Android have passed 1 billion device activations and he is very excited to reveal the next Android version.

People are expecting brand new improved and revamped software. Android is the no. 1 smartphone software platform and has a very good reputation. I hope this iteration will not disappoint the people and most of the Android owners would receive the update. Stay connected for more spicy news.
