Sony Xperia M2 is the one of the three handsets Sony announced in
the MWC. Sony Xperia M2 has ordinary specifications and is a mid-ranger having
a compact 4.8" qHD display. The resolution is 540 x 960 which is pretty
low as far as nowadays standards are concerned. An Adreno 305 GPU will enhance
the graphics performance along with a gig of RAM.
An 8MP camera is located at the back of the device and Sony has
used its Exmor RS sensor in the camera. The camera is capable of shooting 1080p
videos and has an LED flash which can come handy is capturing low light images.
On the connectivity side the device will be offering standard 3G network, NFC,
GPS with GLONASS and Bluetooth 4.0.
Sony Xperia M2 is bundled with the Android Jelly bean 4.3 but
hopefully will get the Kitkat treatment soon after its launch although Sony
hasn't promised such a thing. It will hit the shelves in April and will cost
only 289 euros.
