Samsung
has announced the successor of the Galaxy Grand with noticeable improvements
and a slightly large display. The most notable change is the faux leather back
design with stitching pattern at its edges which is inspired by the recently
launched Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
Galaxy Grand 2 is built around on a 5.25 inches
LCD display which is slightly larger than its predecessor which had a 5 inch
display. Moreover the resolution is also improved; Galaxy Grand has a
resolution of 1280 x 720. Under the hood of the device lies a Quad-core 1.2GHz
processor along with 1.5GB of RAM. Galaxy Grand 2 is bundled with the Android
4.3. The device is powered by a 2600 mAh battery and has an internal storage of
8GB which is expandable up to 64GB through micro SD card.
Just like its
predecessor it has the same dual-sim slot and 8MP rear camera. Galaxy Grand 2
lacks 4G connectivity and has only standard 3G connectivity. It will offer
Black and White color while Samsung will also launch its pink version in
selected markets. No word on the price and launch date.
