So finally the day has come when the LG Nexus 5 has gone official.
Eventually the rumor storm came to an end as Google unveiled the device. The
device was leaked so many times and the rumors left nothing to imagine about
the device. So, most of the features are known to us.
The hardware is exactly the same which we saw in the leaked
photos. LG Nexus 5 packs a 4.95 inches LCD 1080p display and has a staggering
pixel density of 445ppi. Moreover the latest Gorilla Glass 3 adds some
incredible protection to the display. As expected the Nexus 5 is rocking
Android 4.4 Kitkat out of the box. On the internal side the device is powered
by a Quad-core 2.3GHz Krait 400 processor and has the latest Snapdragon 800
chipset along with the 2GB of RAM.
There is an 8MP rear camera which has a 1/3.2" sensor and
also has OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) along with LED flash. There is also
a 1.3MP front cam for video calling. Talking about the storage there is no
surprise, the Nexus 5 will be offering two storage options 16/32GB and lacks
Micro SD card slot. The connectivity options that Nexus 5 offers include 4G
LTE, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, NFC and the standard 3G networking. The juice will be
provided by a 2300 mAh battery. Extra goodies include Wireless charging which
is quite cool.
LG Nexus 5 will offer two colors Black and White. It is already
available in UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, US, Germany, Spain, France, Europe,
Korea and soon it will hit India. The base price for the 16GB model is $300 and
the 32GB model will cost only $400. So you can buy the Nexus 5 right now from
the Play Store and soon Amazon, Best Buy, Sprint etc. will be offering the
device.
