Samsung Galaxy Round Officially Announced

Here comes the first smartphone with a curved display and it’s the Korean giant Samsung who has produced such an innovative design. After being leaked a couple of times the device is officially announced by Samsung under the name Galaxy Round. It is World's first smartphone with a curved display. The curved display was in the talks very much from last two weeks or so and Samsung has wasted no time in making it official.

The whole panel of the handset in curved. The device has a 5.7 inches Super Flexible AMOLED display along with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Samsung Galaxy Round is powered by a Quad-core Krait CPU clocked at 2.3GHz and uses the latest Snapdragon 800 SoC. There is 3GB of RAM which gives the device amazing speed. Along with the 32GB of in-built storage the device also features an SD card slot for memory expansion. 

Samsung Galaxy Round has a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front facing camera. The device is skinned with the Android 4.3 and runs on the Samsung's latest TouchWiz UI. The device also has a couple of unique features like BounceUX and Gravity Effect. The juice is provided by a 2800 mAh battery. The handset will be available in Korea from 10th of October while there is no word on the international availability of the device. 

The handset costs $1000 for the Brown model while more colors will arrive later. The peculiarly designed smartphone has just started a new war. LG is also looking forward to announce such a device. Is this the beginning of a new era? Stay tuned for more news.
