Nokia Lumia 1520 made a chief appearance in the Nokia World Event
at Abu Dhabi but certainly it wasn't the only handset Nokia announced in the
event. Nokia also unveiled the affordable Nokia Lumia 1320 which has the same
screen size as the Lumia 1520 but it is a budget device. Nokia did very
well in keeping the device under the covers so most of the people were
surprised by the launch of Nokia Lumia 1320. It is simply an incredible device
let's take a look at it.
Bigger Display and Simple design
Nokia Lumia 1320 has a massive 6 inches LCD IPS 720p display. So
the Lumia 1520 isn't the only phablet Nokia has launched but the resolution is
downgraded to 720p along with pixel density of 245ppi. The display uses the
latest Gorilla Glass 3 for its protection. Coming on the design I must say it
resembles to the design of Lumia 620 and isn't as premium as the Lumia 1520.
The design of the device looks extremely durable and has matte finish with
rounded corners. As Nokia Lumia 1320 is a mid-ranger so it doesn't look as
sleek as the Lumia 1520 but fortunately it has the same color scheme. Just like
the Lumia 1520 it will be launched in Yellow, Black, Red, Orange and White colors.
Pureview Camera and Dual-core CPU
Nokia Lumia 1320 is packing a 5MP camera with Pureview technology
but lacks optical image stabilization. It allows you to record 1080p videos
with LED flash. It is stuffed inside with a Snapdragon 400 dual-core Krait 300
processor clocked at a speed of 1.9GHz. The one GB RAM along with Adreno 305
GPU delivers enough speed for smooth user experience. Just like the design the
internal specs are also quite incredible for a mid-ranger.
Storage and OS
There is only 8GB of internal storage in the device but with the
help of Micro SD card you can expand it up to 64GB. Moreover you also get 7GB
of Skydrive cloud storage with the device. The device comes with the latest
Windows phone 8 GDR3 out of the box which brings some new apps and services to
the device which also includes a couple of new camera apps. Nokia Lumia 1320
also has in-built Wireless charging, 4G LTE connectivity and non-removable 3400
mAh battery.
Nokia Lumia 1320 is an affordable device running on the latest
Windows phone 8 Black. Moreover it also brings latest connectivity options and
impressive camera to the people who can't afford high end devices. So the two
big phablets are quite impressive and made a great impact on the market
already. The device will launch next year (probably in January) and will cost
only $339.
