Good news concerning Windows Phone 8 users. Microsoft has finally announced the GDR3 update for the Windows phone 8 users and this time around the updated software has support for 1080p display and Snapdragon 800 chipset. So this is some really good news for the people who like the platform as 1080p displays have become too common these days.

GDR3 Update

Recently Microsoft acquired Nokia's phone business and the deal succeeded so I guess most of the Nokia's WP8 devices are likely to receive the update, however HTC 8X and 8S can also expect the update. Now there are 6 tiles in each horizontal line at the Start Screen. This new update also brings the Driving Mode which gets everything out of the way.

Now you can also choose custom ringtones for messages and notifications. Microsoft has eventually added the Screen Orientation lock to the platform. So there are a lot of positive things about the new update and the future of the platform looks bright. The update will be hitting WP8 in the upcoming few weeks. So we will remind you about that stay connected with us.
