Huawei the Chinese mobile phone manufacturing company is not only matching up with other companies instead its thinking to overtake them. They are doing things earlier than other companies. That's why the Ascend P6 came into existence. Its not an ordinary smartphone. Its the slimmest smartphone as the company claims it. The Ascend P6 measures only 6.2mm which is even slimmer than the sleek Sony Xperia Z Ultra. So Huawei is doing things tremendously well. The mobile was introduced early in June, but its now available world wide. Let's take a closer look at the device.

Display & Design:
The device is incredible slim measuring only 6.18mm which outsmart the Xperia Z Ultra's 6.5mm slimness. Other than the slimmer body the design of the device is also sleek with a perfect soft finish. The 4.7 inches IPS + LCD display has a resolution of 720p and uses Gorilla Glass. The touch of the device is very smooth, you can even use the device wearing gloves. The power is provided by a 2000 mAh battery. The battery is reasonably non-removable as the device is Ultra slim. The Ascend P6 offers three eye catching colors, which include Black, White and Pink.

Processing & Capturing:
The processing is controlled by Cortex A9 Quad-core 1.5GHz Processor having 16 cores. This device uses Huawei home brewed chipset K3V2. The 2GB RAM is enough to run heavy games. So other than the design Ascend P6 has a lot more to offer. The 5MP front camera is more than enough for video calling and recording 720p videos. The 8MP rear camera can record things up to 1080p resolution, while its capturing quality in not very impressive. Huawei could have done better with it. Anyways the camera also have HDR mode and LED flash.

Under the Hood:
Huawei Ascend P6 is running Android 4.2.2 out of the box which is specially treated by the Emotion UI 1.6. There no such noticeable changes made in the software. But the device lacks LTE and NFC connectivity. So you have to make compromises with the Ultra slim design. The on-board storage is 8GB (4.7GB user available) but the device also features micro SD card slot, so you can expand it up to 32GB.

Conclusion:
The Huawei Ascend P6 is a very improved device. Still need some improvements though, as the non-removable battery, lack of LTE and NFC, disappointing audio output may bother most of the buyers. You can't win the battle with just one X-Factor. But the device costs only $399, which is much more affordable than most of the rivals. So the Ascend P6 focuses on the upper mid-range territory. The device is available in most of the countries.
