Recently Blackberry announced an old fashioned device, the Blackberry 9720. The device is already available from an online retailer in the UK. Blackberry has lost a lot of its market share in the recent couple of years and people are more eager to see a developed an open source OS like Android, iOS and even the Windows 8. But still Blackberry has a reputation in the market and is well known for its services. The Canadian company can still fight out these situations, but they are doing things very late. They have to bring a revolutionary change in the OS. Devices like these are not going to help the company any more.

Anyways the Blackberry 9720 is powered by the Blackberry 7.1 OS. The device features a 2.8 inches touchscreen IPS display which has a low resolution of 480 x 360. The hardware includes the traditional Blackberry keyboard, an Optical trackpad and a BBM key. The processor is clocked at 800MHz together with 512MB of RAM. The capturing is controlled by a 5MP primary camera with no front cam included. It offers 512MB internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB with the help micro SD card. In the connectivity category the device offers 3G and Wifi only and features a micro SIM slot. The device is powered by a 1450 mAh battery.

The specs above shows that this an entry level device which deals with only ordinary needs. We have already seen these type of devices from Blackberry. The device costs only £180 in the UK. It is available in Black, White, Purple, Blue and Pure Pink. So definitely you get different color options with the Blackberry 9720.
